Question Answer
If you could travel back in time to any period, and meet any person who is historically significant, who would you want to meet and why?

I would like to meet my baby sitter. Since I was born, she took care of me till 6 years old, then my grand mom took care of me from 6 to 9 years. During those 3 years, my baby sitter kept visiting me I believed once every few months even after she was laid off by my mom. Last time she took me out, she told my mom that she will go back to mainland china for retirement. Since then I never saw her again. In my childhood, I felt much closer to my baby sitter who was more like my mom than my biological mom.

Out of all the problems that we are facing in our world today, what do you consider is our biggest problem and how do you think we can solve this problem?

The biggest problem is climate change. Per researches and data collection, the entire world is getting hotter and hotter, a lot of glaciers have been melting. May be 10 to 20 years from today, cities along with sea shores would be submerged, fire frequency got increased on bushes and Reservoirs got evaporated rapidly. Well developed countries in the world should be working together to reduce consumption of materials which cause high temperatures globally, developing new technology to use natural resource to meet daily needs such as solar panels for electricity or dying clothes in the back yards instead of using dryers and so on.

Do you think it is possible that you and I were put here on this earth for some kind of purpose? If so, what do you think that was? If not, why do you think so?

I believe there is something very powerful to control everything in the universe. Creatures on the Earth including human beings are all under his control. Human beings that were put on earth is to meet his purpose, but don’t know what it is.

We live in a world that tends to believe, now more than ever, that all religions are equal and no one religion is better than another. In your opinion does it matter what someone believes? If not, why not, if so, why so?

It is a matter what someone believes in religion because they would behave and/or act based on beliefs of their religion.

All religions have different beliefs about the afterlife but many seem to indicate that we go to a better place, if we do the right things in this life. What do you personally believe about the afterlife and what do you think we need to do in this life in order to get to this better place in the next life?

After life to me is the other chapter of new life after this life and strongly believe what you are done in this life will get returned in next life.

If you do not believe there is life after this life is over, where do you think we came from?

If no afterlife exists, we may come from natural process called mating.

If you do not believe there is life after this life is over, why is it difficult for us to avoid believing in non-material things like truth, love, beauty, goodness, etc…?

We have been adapting value exchange “what you pay is what you get” at least a thousand years, it is a mutual agreed way to get what we want. Non-material things like truth, love and beauty are free and quite abstract, it may be too good to be believed by some people in the world nowadays.

If I could I wanted to see Mao Zedong. I hope that the Cultural Revolution can be stopped through conversation.

Out of all the problems that we are facing in our world today, what do you consider is our biggest problem and how do you think we can solve this problem?

I think the biggest problem is crime. I believe that no one in the world wants to do something sinful. It just has too many desires and insufficient ability.

Do you think it is possible that you and I were put here on this earth for some kind of purpose? If so, what do you think that was? If not, why do you think so?

I think for love.

We live in a world that tends to believe, now more than ever, that all religions are equal and no one religion is better than another. In your opinion does it matter what someone believes? If not, why not, if so, why so?

I think this question needs to look at various religious people. As for me, I feel that it is equal.

All religions have different beliefs about the afterlife but many seem to indicate that we go to a better place, if we do the right things in this life. What do you personally believe about the afterlife and what do you think we need to do in this life in order to get to this better place in the next life?

I don’t believe in the afterlife

If you do not believe there is life after this life is over, where do you think we came from?

From the love of my parents.

If you do not believe there is life after this life is over, why is it difficult for us to avoid believing in non-material things like truth, love, beauty, goodness, etc…?

I think that human beings believe because we have emotions, spirits, and thoughts, and some things need to be pinned.

I would want to meet Sijamone, the original Buddha. I would like to know his original thoughts, what he really said. We know what his students said, but what did he really say?
What would you like to ask him?I am confused about everything like how to connect.

What would you like him to tell you? His story and how to deal with the present situation

Out of all the problems that we are facing in our world today, what do you consider is our biggest problem and how do you think we can solve this problem?

in the east, how to connect with parents and grandparents?
Is there a generation gap? yes
Do you feel they don’t want to keep up?
Do you know how to raise children? No,
Where would you go to find out how to raise children? I have my own thoughts about this.
What standard would you use to show your children in the future what is right and wrong? Nothing is really absolute
Little kids don’t have the ability to determine what is right or wrong, how can we help them? I grew up by myself and I will teach them this way too

Do you think it is possible that you and I were put here on this earth for some kind of purpose? If so, what do you think that was? If not, why do you think so?

What are we supposed to be doing? I think that fate, rules decide this. There are many paths to the same place.
Are you sure all roads lead to the same place? Any proof? I have faith in myself. I choose to do and direct my fate.

We live in a world that tends to believe, now more than ever, that all religions are equal and no one religion is better than another. In your opinion does it matter what someone believes? If not, why not, if so, why so?

not so clear.
For example, is Buddhism and Islam the same? In my opinion, all religions are different.
How to get to heaven or the good place after we die? I’m not sure if there is a heaven or hell.
Why does it matter what we do? I don’t care about this thought.
If there is a place, how can we be prepared, not unprepared?
For example, in Buddhism there are 18 levels of hell, so what can we do about this?
I will tell people to be happy, I want to touch people.
you are saying that if you make people happy you can qualify for the good place? yes

All religions have different beliefs about the afterlife but many seem to indicate that we go to a better place, if we do the right things in this life. What do you personally believe about the afterlife and what do you think we need to do in this life in order to get to this better place in the next life?

I think we all end up as zero, disappear.
Do you think our soul goes somewhere? If we do good then we can avoid becoming ghosts.
There are a lot of gods that will determine where you go.
When you mention gods, did this god create the world or people? No.
Going back to the 18 levels of hell, can one get out? Not sure, no one can be sure.
Who decides if one can get out?
Who decides what is bad and what is good?
Are you sure one can get out? No one can be sure.

Out of all the problems that we are facing in our world today, what do you consider is our biggest problem and how do you think we can solve this problem?

1) Pollution ( How to deal with this issue?)
People have to change habits. ( What do you mean change habits?)
Like don’t use disposable chop sticks, toothbrushes, fancy boxes, too much waste.
2) People don’t have places to live. (How to help people?)
The government can help some, but people have to be active and do something too. They have to work too.

like YI Guan Tao religion who say if you eat meat you go to hell. (If all religions are the same, how do we interpret religions that use violence to control the world? Are they the same?
It seems that they are too superstitious, too over. (How to correct them?)
we need to teach to do good and believe the good things. ( However, does it not seem we just can’t believe anything?)
true. (How can we stop the violence?)
I think there is no way. The people who do these things have evil spirits. (Have you seen evil spirits?)

Just ignore them. (Have you seen evil spirits?)
No, I haven’t.

All religions have different beliefs about the afterlife but many seem to indicate that we go to a better place, if we do the right things in this life. What do you personally believe about the afterlife and what do you think we need to do in this life in order to get to this better place in the next life?

maybe nothing. Nothing we can do. ( Is there another world like heaven?) ( How to get to heaven?)
help others. (If there is a heaven, how can you know if we did good enough to get there?)
I don’t think anyone can know. if you a good person you won’t think about how much you have done.

(many people believe that they did enough good things to qualify, how do we know?)
(Many people don’t remember when they did bad things, so how can we tell our good works are more than bad works?)

I am not sure. I don’t really care as long as I do good enough.
I feel I am a spirit that was put here. (What if things are not the way we think?)
I guess I can only do good. (what if there is really a choice in where we go?)
I have not hurt other people. (Are you sure there is no other place?)
No, I am not sure
