If you could travel back in time to any period, and meet any person who is historically significant, who would you want to meet and why? |
I would really like to go back and speak directly with Jesus to speak with him about the amazing philosophical system he developed. I would also like to see firsthand how he spoke with and interacted with various people. |
Out of all the problems that we are facing in our world today, what do you consider is our biggest problem and how do you think we can solve this problem? |
I believe kindness is a key ingredient missing from our chaotic world. Perhaps the solution would be the infusion of Christian principles into the culture. |
Do you think it is possible that you and I were put here on this earth for some kind of purpose? If so, what do you think that was? If not, why do you think so? |
I it very possible. If I answer this question as a former Mormon, then the answer is for us to become more like God each day. As a person who has left the Mormon faith and is looking for spiritual truth in Buddhism, Hinduism and Christianity, I’m not sure what that purpose might be. |
We live in a world that tends to believe, now more than ever, that all religions are equal and no one religion is better than another. In your opinion does it matter what someone believes? If not, why not, if so, why so? |
Yes it matters greatly what a person believes because wrong religious belief leads logically to wrong religious behavior. |
All religions have different beliefs about the afterlife but many seem to indicate that we go to a better place, if we do the right things in this life. What do you personally believe about the afterlife and what do you think we need to do in this life in order to get to this better place in the next life? |
Now that I have left my leadership position as a Mormon, along with the faith in question, I do not have any thoughts about this anymore. I have simply abandoned all eschatological views since my departure from the church. |
If you do not believe there is life after this life is over, where do you think we came from? |
I really do not have a clue about this any longer. |
If you do not believe there is life after this life is over, why is it difficult for us to avoid believing in non-material things like truth, love, beauty, goodness, etc…? |
I think we pursue these characteristics because they are just reciprocal laws built into the cosmos. I do not believe any longer that we need a God, per se, to strive for concepts like truth, love, etc. |

Do you think it is possible that you and I were put here on this earth for some kind of purpose? If so, what do you think that was? If not, why do you think so? |
Until I started attending church a couple of months ago, I didn’t believe I had any life purpose. Now, however, I think we do have a purpose; however, I am still trying to figure out what it might be. |
We live in a world that tends to believe, now more than ever, that all religions are equal and no one religion is better than another. In your opinion does it matter what someone believes? If not, why not, if so, why so? |
Yes it matters greatly what someone religiously believes because belief shapes the person and their actions. A look at the actions of radical Islamists substantiates this point. |

What do you personally believe about the afterlife and what do you think we need to do in this life in order to get to this better place in the next life? |
I’ve always hoped a place like heaven existed. But, honestly, I’m not sure it exists. I have my doubts but I’m studying Christianity to see what it says about the afterlife. |
If you do not believe there is life after this life is over, where do you think we came from? |
I do believe we were created by God, I’m just not sure if there is an afterlife. |
